Why are classic computer texts so expensive?

  1. You can borrow my copy if you like. Ive only lasted about a third of the way through so far. its as dry as a parsons biscuit

  2. Thanks Tom, I’ll check it out. I had heard it was somewhat dry, but I’ll feel inadequate until I have at least tackled a few chapters :)

  5. I find that most books in that area to be rather boring, probably the Java specific ones being more helpful (even if you don’t know Java).

    If only the books were more like this…
